Q. What tradition of Yoga does the school follows?

Swasti Yoga follows the tradition of Hatha Yoga.

Q. How can i reach Swasti Yoga?

By Air-

The nearest domestic airport is Jolly Grant airport, Dehradun. (approx price by taxi 1000 per seat)

It is approximately 20 kms from Rishikesh.

This airport has daily flights for Delhi, Mumbai , Allahabad , Ahmedabad , Bangalore , Lucknow , Hyderabad , Kolkata , Indore , Jaipur.

Nearest international airport is Delhi which is approximately 243 km. (approx price by taxi 4000 per seat)

By train-

Haridwar is the nearest express station which is connected to the major cities of India.

Distance between Haridwar and Rishikesh is 21 kms.

By Road-

NH-58 is the main road which connects Rishikesh to Delhi.buses are available throughout the day for major cities of North India.

Estimated travel time – 8 hours

P.S – Since you may have to walk a little while you come to Swasti Yoga ,requesting you to kindly plan your trip so that you reach us latest by 8 pm because of no street lights and it gets more dark.

Q. Do I need to prepare in advance in any subject before coming for the course?

If you do hold prior information on any aspect of yoga, meditation and pranayama, it will lead you to a better understanding. But, it is not at all compulsory.

Q. What is the class size in TTC?

We accommodate up to 25 students (maximum) per batch.

Q. Are there any Pre-requisites for the 200 hr TTC?

You don’t have to be a proficient yogi, yoga practitioner or yoga teacher. All levels of students are welcome to the program.

Also, the person should be medically fit. If in case of any medical condition it is highly recommended to take the undertaking from the concerned doctor.

So, your participation for the course (in case of medical condition) depends on the advice of the doctor.

Q. What is the general schedule of the course?

The 200 hr TTC is schedule in a way that we make the completion of the course in 26 days.

The classes are scheduled from 7 am till 8 pm with a little break in between.

Usually the classes happens throughout the week except Sundays and first and third Thursday of the course being full day off ,second and fourth Thursday being half day off.

Q. What certification do I receive once I have completed the course?

We give Yoga Alliance, USA certification which denotes that you have successfully completed a Yoga Teacher Training course from Swasti Yoga.

Q. Do I need visa to attend your courses?

Visa for India is required, so please acquire a tourist visa and not a student’s visa while coming to India.

Q. In the fee, what all is included?

The fee includes almost everything apart from the personal expenses.

Q. Can I transfer my booking in someone else’s name?

Unfortunately, no. The booking is non-transferable from one person to another due to security reasons.

Q. Do you also offer non-vegetarian options?

No, we do not offer non-vegetarian options as we follow the principles of yoga, which suggests ‘Ahimsa’ or ‘non-violence’.

Q. What are the rules of the school regarding smoking, drinking and drugs or coming late?

We strongly refrain from any such act inside the school premises. Also, as you will be the part of the detoxification program, we recommend not indulging in smoking, drinking or drugs even outside the ashram premises.

If on any special occasion you want to come in late, please inform the management as the school gate closes by 9:00 pm.

Q. Can i change my room?

Room once allotted won’t be changed, except in any serious circumstances on the discretion of the management.
