Trainers
Surinder Singh is the founder and director of Swasti Yogashala in Rishikesh, he teaches hatha yoga– a combination of yogasana, pranayama and meditation– in the atmosphere of cordiality and support. It is this atmosphere and energy, and its vastly positive effect on practice that the master’s students notice and come back for, year after year. Being a mechanical engineer by education, Surinder integrates principles of mechanical physics into his teaching practice thus turning them into biomechanics of asana alignment and adjustment as well as of yoga practice as a whole, inspiring his students into the “real yoga” – yoga of Compassion and Action.
Surinder Singh was initiated in the tradition of yoga by his teacher and guru Sri Swami Dharmananda, the then superior of Ved Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh. Today, Surinder Singh is the most popular yoga teacher in the world’s capital of yoga. Thousands of yoga practitioners from all over the world call Surinder Ji their main teacher, who visit him in India or have shared with him during his travels abroad in different countries of Latin America, Europe and Asia.
Tania is one of Surinder ji students, after doing her TTC with Swasti Yogashala in 2019, she traveled to India to continue her practice and has been already 2 years continuously learning with him in Rishikesh.
She is a Transpersonal Coach and Emotional Integration Therapist from Honduras. She has been a meditation practitioner for 7 years and a certified Meditation and Mindfulness Trainer with World Peace Initiative since 2017, renewing her certification every year in Thailand with her Buddhist teachers. She shares an integration of Buddhist and Yogic philosophies in her teachings.
Her passion for self development is what she shares in her work to help others transform their lives, and meditation is the main foundation for all her practices. She has delivered workshops, group sessions, and facilitated retreats in Belize, Honduras, Guatemala, India, Mexico, Latvia, Peru and Thailand.
